This scale is ideal for those who need to weigh medium and large sized birds. It has 2 gm increments. At first glance, most people think that a 1gm scale is better than a 2 gm increment scale and it is if you need to weigh babies or very small birds (less than 150 gm). However, for medium and large size birds a 2 gm scale works much nicer in that once your bird is standing relatively still the numbers have a chance to come to rest.

With a large bird such as a cockatoo or a macaw on a 1 gm scale the numbers rarely stop moving even if the bird is standing like a statue. For Arican Grey size on up this is the best scale. Works great for hawks falcons owls, etc.
